Wind your way through an eight mile loop of the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community. This collection of shops, restaurants, galleries and studios is close to 70 years old and a designated part of the Tennessee Heritage Arts & Crafts Trail. You will find many artisans at work. While you are in the community visit the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Heritage Center which is a museum, located in a 102 year old house, dedicated to the preservation of the arts and crafts heritage.
In the heart of downtown Gatlinburg take a tour through the permanent collection of Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Check out the work of the resident artists (weavers, jewellers, woodworkers and ceramists). Look into the schools many long and short courses.
